SCAR REEF BAY

With its central position in west Sumbawas surf zone and only 30 minutes from the new airport this single bay gives access to 6 waves that can satisfy the needs of anyone from beginner to pro!

Scar reef.

With a name like that, we know what we are going to get. A left that starts way out wide, the take off is a horseshoe shape that requires every ounce of strength (mental and physical). Straight from the drop you will give a mighty drive for speed and when you see the wave straighten onto the square part of the reef pull up and in to a thick lip barrel. The wave has three distinct sections to the reef, each has barrel opportunity with enough time to get a turn in to check your speed.

Little Bingin.

This is in many ways, the perfect wave. The friendly rip will return you back to the top regardless of if you decided to take the lip whacking right or the throaty but still playful left. On big swells it does become quite serious but mostly this is a fun wave.

Bangers.

Another A frame in the bay, its a fun wave that can max out and stop working if its more than head and a half. Barrels and turns. Phantom right. A right handed reef that will turn on to produce some of the best waves you ever surfed until it turns off and lets you sit there wondering if it was all a dream.

Pantai dua.

A mostly un surfed small and long mellow left that is suited better to long boards and young children.

Big brother.

Access by private boat only, this wave is never having a crowd, named big brother because its similarities to scar reef but just always bigger. Take the boat, surf with your friends and catch a fish on the way home.
